The Gardens at Hippley Village is a private garden located in the northern edge of the City of Columbiana, Ohio. The garden, located on a 3 acre parcel off of Stanton Avenue, features 8 gardens and 8 water features. The gardens have hosted weddings, wedding showers and receptions. The garden is operated and funded by The Hippley Foundation. A non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Many visitors to the garden find it to be a worthwhile stop when visiting the quaint little town of Columbiana.
In 1999 the first garden was constructed. A train garden that features a miniature grist mill. Several varieties of crop sedums and other ground covers along with numerous species of miniature plants help to compliment the move than 25 miniature buildings in the “tiny village”.
After a 9-year hiatus, the garden began to expand in 2008 with the addition of a tiny stone potting shed imported from England. Since 2008, an additional 6 gardens have been added to the complex along with a small 20×48 indoor pavilion.
